about me

For nearly two decades I have been studying and working in the field of change, growth and transformation. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and gained my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). At CIIS, I was able to expand upon my background in organizational consulting, mindfulness, philosophy, and multiple personal growth modalities. Afterward I went on to complete a 2 year fellowship at Access Institute where I received specialized psychoanalytic training to work with adults, couples, elders and children in both clinic and community settings. Additionally, I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and I am a Group Therapist and graduate of the Group Therapy Training Program at The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley. Many colleagues, friends and clients have described my style as warm, grounded, supportive and direct. I value engaging and supporting each client with curiosity, care and respect. I am also committed to promoting social justice and have training on working with the complexities of cultural and social difference in the experience of racial minorities (BIPOC), LGBTQ, disabled and other marginalized peoples.
